The launch exhibit

I’m looking for artists for the June and July 2026 launch exhibit. Submit your work →

Why Tab Gallery?

Hi, I’m Maarten. I love art and I want to see more of it in everyday spaces. Tab Gallery is a small effort to share, show, and celebrate what people are making.

It’s free. There’s no algorithm. When you open a tab, you see a piece of art chosen by hand. Like it? Tap the heart. Don’t? Carry on.

How it works for artists

One work per artist, per exhibit. Exhibits run for roughly two months.

Your work appears full-screen with your name, the title, and a ‘find out more’ link. People can heart the work – it’s a quiet thank you, not a ranking signal. When the exhibit ends, the work is archived and only used again if we agree to it.

You can ask me to take it down at any time. No questions asked.

Your work belongs to you – always

It’s only shown inside Tab Gallery. After the exhibit ends, the file is locked and not reused unless we agree to it. You can ask me to take it down at any point in between.

I might ask permission to use the work in promotional material – on alittlenoise.com, in the Chrome Store listing, or in social posts about the exhibit. I’ll check in before I do.

How to submit

Email [email protected] with:

Or just say hi first if you’d rather have a chat.

Image specs

Landscape works best. Up to 3840px wide.

There are two framing styles:

Credit

UNCROPPED – WHOLE IMAGE

The image fills either the width or the height of the screen, whichever fits first. As such there will be “white space” on the edge where the image doesn’t touch.

Credit

FULL BLEED – FIT TO SCREEN

The browser crops the image so it fills the screen edge to edge. If you choose this, tell me where the focal point is so the browser doesn’t crop off bits that matter.

FAQ

Can I submit more than one piece? Send a few options if you like. Only one work per artist makes it into each exhibit, and you’re very welcome to submit again next time.

What kind of work are you looking for? Almost anything you’ve made that can live as a single image. Painting, photography, illustration, prints, sketches, sculpture – yes. But also film stills, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, graphic design, type, set design, fashion, furniture, a building you designed, a tattoo. Art here is loosely defined on purpose. If you made it and there’s a good photo of it, send it.

How do you choose? By feel. I want each tab to be a small surprise – a ceramic sitting next to a film still next to a sketch, quiet pieces alongside loud ones. The collection leans eclectic and inclusive.

How many people will see my work? Honestly, I don’t know yet. Tab Gallery is just starting out. The audience is people who chose to install it – which is a lovely audience to have.

Do I get paid? Do you get paid? Neither. Tab Gallery is non-commercial. No ads, no fees in either direction.

Where are the images stored? On the alittlenoise.com server, in a folder that’s only accessible to the extension and to alittlenoise.com. Once the exhibit ends, the folder is locked.

Can I install it without contributing? Of course. Add to Chrome
